The purpose of Medina LOYAL Cheerleading is to increase the feelings of community and hometown pride.  Medina LOYAL activities enrich relationships within our families and community.  Medina LOYAL helps to teach our youth respect, cooperation, commitment, teamwork, self-discipline and self-worth.  It provides cheerleaders for the LOYAL football teams, while promoting the highest ideals of sportsmanship.  LOYAL Cheerleading helps reinforce the importance of personal responsibility through positive interaction with peers.  It teaches the cheerleader how to fellowship and the values of working as a part of a team not always as an individual.  Cheerleading also keeps our youth both physically and mentally fit.  The friendships and bonds formed throughout the August-October season last a lifetime.   LOYAL helps to unite parents, cheerleaders, football players, coaches, and the community together in accomplishing one common goal;  Helping our youth become all that they are capable of, and to ensure a brighter future for tomorrow; because after all the most precious asset we have is our youth.

LOYAL cheerleading is open to all girls in the Medina School District ages 7-14 years old

• All girls participate - there are no try-outs
• Teams are grouped according to age
  **** Must be 7 yrs old by 8-1-06 (NO Exceptions)**
   
  • Colts - ages 7-9
  • Broncos - ages 9-11
  • Stallions - ages 11-14
     
• Cheerleaders compete in at least on major NOFA Cheerleading competition during the season
• All cheerleaders participate unless they have been disciplined

Behind every great team, there is fan support. Cheerleading encourages fans to participate in the game through the leadership of the cheerleader. 

Our Responsibilities

We will strive to produce disciplined, honest, young women of worth; young women that we can depend on to fulfill their responsibilities to themselves, teammates, coaches, and family

We will strive to produce young women who are leaders in other areas outside of the sports arena and we will encourage them to excel In all things

We will help our girls to set and seek worthwhile goals in all areas and to prepare themselves intelligently to meet those goals

We will commit to helping our youth become young women who care about winning, but realize that it, is not everything

We commit to help strengthen Our young women by overcoming adversity and teach them how to be gracious when they lose

We will strive to help our young women learn how to turn adversity and negativity into positive constructive energy

We commit to helping assist our young women in their efforts to improve themselves physically, mentally, socially

We will strive to help our young women become committed to maximizing and realizing their full potential
